Dr. Thorsten Polleit

Dr. Thorsten Polleit (* 1967) is an honorary professor of economics at the University of Bayreuth. He worked as an economist in international investment banking for 13 years, from 2012 to 2023 at a leading international precious metals trading house. His teaching and research focuses on monetary and capital market theory, epistemology and the history of dogma.

Thorsten Polleit is an Adjunct Fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, Auburn, USA, and President of the Ludwig von Mises Institute Germany. He is the author of numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and books (The Devil's Money (2023), The Global Currency Plot (2022)).

Since the beginning of 2024, he has published Dr. Polleit's BOOM & BUST REPORT.
